Distributor

Art. 3(7)Art. 24

Distributor means any natural or legal person in the supply chain, other than the provider or the importer, that makes an AI system available on the Union market. The distributor must verify that the system bears the required CE marking and is accompanied by the necessary documentation and instructions for use.

Any person who develops or has developed an AI system and places it on the market under their own name.

Importer

Any person established in the Union who places on the market an AI system from a non-EU provider.

CE marking

The conformity marking affixed to a high-risk AI system indicating its compliance with the regulation.
