Artificial intelligence system

Art. 3(1)

An artificial intelligence system means a machine-based system designed to operate with varying levels of autonomy, that may exhibit adaptiveness after deployment and that, for explicit or implicit objectives, infers, from the inputs it receives, how to generate outputs such as predictions, content, recommendations or decisions. This definition is intentionally broad to cover all current and future AI technologies.
